Armenian Association of Radiologists

The  European Congress of Radiology (ECR), which hosted more than 21,000 participants, was held in Vienna on March 1-5.

This Congress is the annual meeting of ESR, one of the leading events in  the field of radiology and the largest medical convention in Europe. This year the Armenian Association of Radiologists was recognized  as the 46th national member-society of ESR, and the delegation of AAR was invited to participate in ECR-2017.

In the framework of the Congress a meeting was organized between the delegation of AAR and the Executive Council of ESR in the person of Prof. Katrine Riklund, Chairperson of the ESR Board of Directors, Peter Baierl, ESR Executive Director and Lorenzo E. Derchi, ESR 1st Vice-President. Prof. Katrine Riklund welcomed the delegation of AAR and congratulated them on becoming an ESR member society. Afterwards both sides discussed the terms of cooperation and came to the conclusion that the problems which modern radiology is faced with can be solved with cooperative efforts only.
