Armenian Association of Radiologists

An Armenian – French educational seminar headlined “Epilepsy days in Armenia” took place in Moscow house on 4- 5 December, which was organized by the Armenian Association of Radiologists, in collaboration with Nairi Medical Center.

 

The event was credited by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Armenia , all the participants got CPD credits .

 

Different professionals including neurologists, neurosurgeons, radiologists not only from Yerevan, but also from regions, as well as our partners from France were invited to participate in the event. The seminar was aimed at raising current issues of the field and to finding effective solutions for them.

 

The seminar was opened by the greeting speech of the President of the Armenian Association of Radiologists, PhD Kostan Galumyan.  and was then conducted by  Garik Hovhannisyan, the President of the Supervisory Council of the Armenian Association of Radiologists, doctor, radiologist of the department of MRI, MIBS Yerevan Medical Center.

 

Very spectacular and interesting reports were presented by the participants. Our special thanks to Nicolas Manjot de Champfleur M.D., Ph.D,  the University Hospital of France, who presented some reports on MR Diagnosis of epilepsy  and MRI protocols designed for epilepsy.

 

We also want to thank to our French partner neurologist Manvel Aghasaryan (Corbeli-Essones, France) for his interesting report on Epilepsy Treatment Methods and our deepest thanks to Karen Mkhitaryan, an employee of the Department of Neuroradiology, Oncology and Heart MRI,  University Hospital, whose direct initiatives and participation made it possible to host this seminar.

 

Among the presenters from Armenia were Nune Yeghiazaryan, the Head of the Department of Neurology, Erebuni Medical Center, Biayna Sukhudyan, Ph.D, the Head of Pediatric Neurology Department in Arabkir Medical Center,  Narek Matinyan, the Head of MRI Department of MIBS-Yerevan Medical Center, the Secretary of the Armenian Association of Radiologists and Tigran Khachatryan Ph.D, General and Endovascular Neurosurgeon, University Hospital of Neurosurgery and Brain Stroke Surgery Specialized Center.

 

MR Diagnosis of Epilepsy and modern methods of treatments, as well as other concerning issues of the field were discussed during the seminar by Armenian and French professionals.

 

The seminar was held in Armenian and in English in simultaneous translation, for which we want to thank to Samson  Khachatryan,  Neurologist from Erebuni Medical Center, the Head of the Center for Sleep Disorders,  who brilliantly accomplished this difficult task.

 

The Armenian Association of Radiologists extend their deepest thanks to all the participants of the seminar and those who supported in the organization of the seminar.  Our collaboration with our partners from abroad will be continued. Similar meetings will be held in the coming future.
