ESSR Course in Yerevan
Outreach course of the European Society of Musculoskeletal Radiology was held for the first time in Yerevan on May 25-26. This is the ESSR outreach program, which provides a visit of experienced speakers’ team to a hosting country to run a teaching course on musculoskeletal radiology.
The aim of the program is to fulfill the primary objectives of the ESSR in advancing the knowledge about the diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal disorders and to provide a European forum for musculoskeletal radiology education and research, as well as support the educational activities of local groups or societies in European countries.
Dr. Ara Kassarjian, Dr. Prudencia Tyrrell and Prof. Lennart Jans, leading specialists from Europe, gave lectures during the two-day seminar on musculoskeletal radiology: bone traumas, arthritis and bone tumors, and represented clinical cases.
The ESSR Course was organized by the European Society of Musculoskeletal Radiology jointly with the Armenian Association of Radiologists and Yerevan State Medical University, and was held under the auspices of Armenian representation of Takeda company, Toshiba company and General Electrics.
Armenian Association of Radiologists would like to thank AGBU-Armenia for hosting the event, remarkable guests from Europe, all the organizers, especialy Kostan Galumyan, Marina Aloyan, clinical residents of N1 hospital complex and supporters who helped to accomplish the program in Yerevan.
