Armenian Association of Radiologists

A_seminar headlined “Multiparametric Ultrasound Diagnosis in Everyday Clinical Practice” was held on 24 July organized by the Armenian Association of Radiologists, Toshiba Medical Systems and Diavant company. The objective of the seminar was to introduce the implementation and clinical significance of different innovative technologies used in ultrasound to the Armenian professionals.
 
During the seminar, welcoming speech was made by Dr. Kostan Galumyan, Ph.D, President of the Armenian Association of Radiologists and Prof. R.F. Bakhtiozin, MD., Ph.D., Department of Radiology and Radiation Medicine, I. M. Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University.

Dr. Gegham Aghabekyan, Chief Radiologist of the Ministry of Health of RA, shared his experience of clinical implemetation of the new technologies.
Nadim Kaafarani, Ultrasound Clinical Market Manager of “Toshiba Medical Systems Europe”, displayed practical skills with the latest Amplio i800 system, which gives the opportunity to extend the usage of ultrasound in the diagnostic field.
 
During the seminar Prof. Vito Cantisiani, Sapienza University of Rome, gave lecture on “Multiparametric ultrousound in the diagnosis of liver and small particles” by means of teleconferencing.
Implementation of diagnostic tools such as Shear Wave elastography, Smart Fusion and Smart Navigation in Armenia was basically considered.
